Overview
Ranch hands work hard; this is not for everyone; when they finish a day of work, they know they’ve given it all to the Lord. Duties include working cattle, building fences, bailing hay, feeding, watering, and working with animals, as well as other responsibilities. During the evenings’ Ranch staff are encouraged to engage in the ministry side of the camp and attend services with the other staff members.
Qualifications
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that demonstrates the Lordship of Christ and models servant spiritual leadership to the guests.
- Must possess a ministry-minded mentality when interacting with all of the campers of Eagle Sky and be willing to go beyond job descriptions to meet the needs of campers.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and able and willing to follow a weekly schedule yet flexible when needed.
- Experience working with children and teens in volunteer or work scenarios.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Ranch team in feeding, watering, fixing fences, and making sure that the animals are taken care of
- Work at the petting zoo, taking care of the animals and sharing with the guests about the animals there.
- Willingness to be flexible as the duties may be altered because of camp and weather needs.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions as the job needs are met.
