Overview
The Graphic Design and Print shop role at Eagle Sky Christian Challenge Camps is integral in shaping the camp’s visual identity and providing creative support for various camp activities and promotions. This position involves designing eye-catching graphics for multiple media, including social media, print materials, camp merchandise, and more. Additionally, you’ll oversee the print shop, ensuring that all printed materials are produced to the highest standard. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about using design to enhance the camp experience.
Qualifications
- A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrating His Lordship and servant leadership in your creative work.
- Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio that showcases your ability to create impactful, visually appealing designs.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or other industry-standard tools.
- Experience with print production processes, including preparing files for print, managing print equipment, and ensuring quality control.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout design.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively with other departments, and ability to contribute creative ideas to various projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Daily Quiet Time: Dedicate personal time each day to connect with the Lord and seek His guidance in your creative work.
- Graphic Design: Create engaging and visually appealing graphics for camp activities, events, promotions, social media, merchandise, and other materials as needed.
- Printshop Management: Oversee the operation of the camp’s printshop, ensuring all printed materials are produced efficiently and to a high standard. This includes setting up files for print, running print equipment, and performing quality checks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team, event coordinators, and other staff to develop creative materials that align with the camp’s mission and branding.
- Merchandise Design: Design camp merchandise such as t-shirts, posters, and other items that reflect the camp’s spirit and appeal to campers and staff.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot any issues with print production or design projects, ensuring that all materials are delivered on time and meet quality expectations.
- Flexibility: Assist with other tasks as needed, including participating in camp activities and supporting other departments during peak times.
Age Requirement
18 years or older, with relevant experience in graphic design and print production. A portfolio of work is required for application, but formal education is unnecessary.
