Overview

The AVL (Audio, Visual, Lighting) Tech is critical in creating an immersive and impactful experience for all Eagle Sky Christian Challenge Camp guests. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining all audio, visual, and lighting equipment during worship services, events, and activities. The AVL Tech ensures that all technical aspects run smoothly to enhance our visitors’ spiritual and recreational experience. Flexibility is critical, as you may be called upon to assist in other departments if needed.

Qualifications

  • A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrating His Lordship and servant leadership in all aspects of life.
  • Proven experience operating and troubleshooting audio, visual, and lighting equipment in a live setting, preferably in a church or camp environment.
  • Strong technical skills, including knowledge of soundboards, lighting consoles, projectors, and multimedia systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs during live events.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and volunteers.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as the camp schedule requires.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Quiet Time: Dedicate personal time each day to connect with the Lord and seek His guidance for your work.
  • Setup and Operation: Prepare and operate all AVL equipment for worship services, events, and activities, ensuring everything is ready and functioning properly.
  • Maintenance: Regularly check and troubleshoot AVL equipment to prevent technical issues during events.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the worship team, speakers, and event coordinators to understand and fulfill their technical needs.
  • Safety and Quality Control: Ensure all equipment is safely installed and operated and that the quality of sound, visuals, and lighting enhances the overall experience for the guests.
  • Flexibility: Be ready to assist in other areas as needed, including helping with other technical or non-technical tasks around the camp.
  • Guest Interaction: Provide technical support to guests as needed, ensuring their seamless and enjoyable experience.

Age Requirement

18 years or older, with relevant technical experience. No formal education is required, but practical knowledge and experience are essential.
