POSITION TITLE: Kids Camp Manager – Exempt Position

REPORTS TO: Program Director

POSITION SUMMARY: The Kids Camp Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kids camp program for children ages 7-12. This role involves designing, organizing, and leading engaging, Christ-centered activities that foster fun, safety, and spiritual growth. The Kids Camp Manager ensures that each child experiences the love of Christ in an environment filled with joy, adventure, and learning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Mission and Vision Alignment:

  • Actively support and communicate the mission and values of Eagle Sky Christian Camp.
  • Integrate biblical teaching and Christ-centered principles into all camp activities and interactions.

Program Leadership:

  • Plan, implement, and oversee all aspects of the kids camp program, including games, crafts, worship, and outdoor activities.
  • Create a safe, fun, and spiritually enriching environment for children ages 7-12.
  • Continually evaluate and improve the camp program to ensure it meets the needs of campers and families.

Discipleship and Teaching:

  • Develop and facilitate opportunities for children to learn about Jesus in fun and engaging ways.
  • Provide spiritual guidance, teaching, and encouragement to campers.

Staff Supervision:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise kids camp counselors and volunteers.
  • Schedule staff assignments and ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, positivity, and excellence.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure all activities follow safety guidelines and camp policies.
  • Maintain a high standard of care, addressing any behavioral or safety concerns promptly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Ministry, Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience working with children in a camp, ministry, or educational setting.
  • Proven experience in program development and child supervision.

Certifications:

  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain).

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during camp sessions.
  • Physical ability to lead outdoor activities and lift up to 50 pounds.
