POSITION TITLE:  IT Manager 

REPORTS TO:  Director of Human Resources

POSITION SUMMARY: Eagle Sky of the Ozarks is seeking an experienced and dedicated IT Manager to oversee and maintain the camp’s entire technology infrastructure. In this role, you will manage the camp’s critical IT systems, including printers, computers, network switches, access points (APs), VOIP phone systems, and point-of-sale (POS) systems. You will implement and maintain efficient systems to ensure smooth operations, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide ongoing support to staff. Additionally, you will ensure the security, reliability, and optimization of all network and phone systems, particularly Cisco systems, essential for camp operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overall Mission Support:

  • Uphold and support the Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Core Values, and Statement of Faith of Eagle Sky of the Ozarks.
  • Promote the camp’s values of Caring, Honesty, Trustworthiness, Respect, Fairness, Responsibility, and Accountability when interacting with staff, volunteers, board members, and guests.
  • Foster a positive working relationship with staff, including seasonal employees, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, high-energy camp environment.

IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all IT systems, including computers, printers, network infrastructure, VOIP phones, and POS systems.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to IT policies and data security.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for all IT policies and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Secure IT systems, including network infrastructure, cloud services, and internal databases.

Staff Training & Support:

  • Lead staff training initiatives to ensure that all team members are equipped with the necessary technical skills.
  • Collaborate with camp leadership (COO, CEO, Board) to assess, plan, and address the camp’s ongoing IT needs.

Budget Management:

  • Work with the COO, CFO, HR, and Board to develop and manage the annual IT budget.
  • Assess technology requirements, recommend upgrades, and advise on technology purchases to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide insights and recommendations regarding IT equipment, software licensing, and other technology-related expenditures.

  • Lead the implementation of effective IT solutions that align with and support the camp’s mission.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the camp’s technology infrastructure to enhance efficiency, security, and innovation.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest IT solutions, trends, and best practices to continuously improve the camp’s technology systems.
  • Seek opportunities for improvement, adapting strategies as needed to optimize systems and processes.

  • Safeguard data security, privacy, and operational efficiency within the camp’s technology framework.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Accredited 4-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in managing IT systems, ideally in a nonprofit or camp environment.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of IT systems, strategies, and security protocols.
  • Experience with network management, cloud services, and ensuring system uptime and security.

Certifications:

  • Relevant IT certifications in areas such as network management, cybersecurity, or cloud systems are a plus.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Leadership Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage IT staff, and mentor junior team members.

Problem-Solving:

  • Ability to troubleshoot, resolve technical issues, and provide timely solutions.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Flexibility to work irregular hours as needed, including being on-call for emergencies or system issues.
  • Ability to adapt to an office or remote work environment, with occasional on-site visits required.
  • Comfortable working in a camp environment with outdoor and indoor settings.
