Position Title: Housekeeping
Reports To: Housekeeping Manager
Job Purpose: Housekeeping will work toward fulfilling our mission of giving guests a great experience by cleaning and maintaining all guest spaces. This role will uphold efficient cleaning practices to serve our guests well.
Essential Job Functions:
- Uphold established standards of cleanliness in all guest spaces.
- Take responsibility for pulling and disposing of the public/private trash from various guest rooms/meeting rooms daily while in use.
- Work in coordination with the manager to ensure the linens are cleaned promptly and efficiently.
- Prep and clean camp before and after every guest group.
- Coordinate seasonal housekeeping staff and the other staff (i.e., other full-time staff, etc.) that help during clean times.
Character, Education, Abilities, Skills, Experience:
The “ideal” candidate will have:
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Ability to communicate with team members, staff, and guests
- Good work ethic
- Willingness to perform routine tasks regularly and on time, with deadlines weekly and monthly for most tasks
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs over distances, including up and down stairs
Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand all day, bend, squat, be on hands and knees cleaning, climb stairs, be around strong cleaning chemicals daily, be willing to get your hands dirty.
Work Environment: Most work will be done throughout campus, including indoors and outdoors. Housekeeping may consist of working in inclement weather conditions throughout the year.
